General FAQs:

Crown Aesthetics provides a luxurious, yet fun environment that you can look forward to each time you visit.
The following are a few tips to help you achieve best results:
  • Stay away from alcohol consumption 24 hours prior.
  • Drink plenty of water and eat a meal before.
  • Review Crown’s pre-procedure guidelines for the treatment you are receiving which can be found in your patient portal. 
We kindly ask you to reschedule or cancel appointments before the 48 hours cut-off time. Upon booking, your card will be held on file for the cancellation policy only. It will not be changed for any other reason but in the case there is a no show or same day cancellation.

Please contact us immediately if you notice the following:

  • Severe pain and/or color change (pale/dusky/blotchiness) of skin anywhere on the face. Even if it’s away from the area injected.
  • Increase in pain, discomfort, color change hours after injections. This should get better, not worse.
  • Herpes or blister-like outbreak 24-72 hours after injections.
  • Severe swelling (3 times increase in size) 12 hours post-treatment.

There is no consultation needed for most treatments, as consults are done at the beginning of all appointments scheduled.

Botox / Dysport FAQs:

What is the downtime? Can I go back to work after my treatment?
Requires Treatment with Botox / Dysport requires no downtime. You can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave our clinic.
 
When will I see results?
The effects of Botox and Dysport begin to appear in 3 to 7 days, it is fully active in 14 days,  and gradually wears off over 3 months time.
 
How long do results last?
You can expect results to last 3–4 months. But it varies per person.
 
What if I don’t get Botox or Dysport every 3 months?
If you choose to not continue Botox or Dysport injections, without treatment, your muscles will continue to contract and potentially result in lines as before you started treatment.
 
Does it hurt?
We use extremely small needles so it feels like a small pin prick.
 
Will my face look undone or unnatural?
Botox and Dysport injections can result in a subtle appearance that only you will notice. During your consult we will form a plan to reach your goals.
 
What’s the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Botox and Dysport are both purified proteins that effectively block muscle contraction. Botox and Dysport accomplish the same goal.
 
I’m pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I be treated with Botox and Dysport?
Botox and Dysport injections should not be used in pregnancy or when breastfeeding.

Dermal Filler FAQs:

What is the downtime? Can I go back to work after my treatment?
It is common to experience redness, swelling, bruising, and soreness after treatment. After injections, you should still be able to return to work. If you are concerned about social downtime, schedule injections around special events.
 
When will I see results?
After treatment, you’ll see results immediately.
 
How long do results last?
It depends on the product used, the area injected, and the patient. Most filler injections last for 6–12 months.
 
What if I don’t get filler every 6–12 months?
Your skin will eventually return to its pre-treatment state if you do not continue filler injections.
 
Does it hurt?
In order to reduce pain during treatment, topical anesthetics may be applied.
 
Will my face look undone or unnatural?
A filler injection can create a subtle appearance when administered by the right medical provider in the correct amounts. Be aware, everyone might comment on your improved appearance, but they might not be able to explain why.
 
I’m pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I be treated with fillers?
Injectable fillers are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Skin Treatment FAQs:

Yes! With the exception of retinol and hydroquinone, medical grade skincare is safe to use while pregnant / breastfeeding.
Patients who have vitiligo, or other autoimmune and pigmentation disorders should discuss the treatment with their provider prior to having it done. If you get cold sores more than 3 times a year, please let us know in advance and we will treat you prophylactically with an antiviral medication.

Microneedling Pre-care And Post-Care FAQs:

When will I see the results?
Results typically become visible a few weeks after treatment, with improvements continuing over time.

How long do results last?
The effects of microneedling can last several months and can be extended with follow-up sessions.

Is there any downtime or side effects?
Microneedling has minimal downtime, with possible side effects including mild redness and sensitivity post-treatment.

What should I do before and after this treatment?
Avoid sun exposure, certain skincare products, and makeup before and after your microneedling session to optimize results.

What can I expect during this treatment?
During microneedling, you’ll experience mild discomfort as fine needles puncture the skin, promoting regeneration and healing.

Chemical Peels Procedure and FAQs:

Who is a good candidate for Medical-grade Peels?
Individuals with skin concerns like fine lines, acne scars, uneven skin tone, and sun damage are excellent candidates.

When will I see the results from a Medical-grade Peel?
Initial improvement is often visible shortly after treatment, with full results developing as the skin heals over the following weeks.

How often should I get a Medical-grade Peel?
The frequency depends on your skin type and goals. It is best to repeat a light peel after four to six weeks, while a medium peel after a few months is ideal.

Is there any downtime or side effects with Medical-grade Peels?
Some peels may require downtime, and common side effects include redness, peeling, and sensitivity, which subside as the skin heals.

What should I do before and after a Medical-grade Peel?
Avoid sun exposure and certain skincare products both before and after treatment, as advised by your skincare professional.

What can I expect during a Medical-grade Peel treatment?
You may experience a tingling sensation as the peel works to remove the outer layer of skin. Peel are often left on the skin for 5 to 15 minutes to work.

Skin Aftercare Protocol FAQs:

  1. Same Day: Leave serums on for the rest of the day. May cleanse with Gentle Cleanser if needed. Finish with blue Hydrating Serum, Avoid ANY Sun exposure.
  2. Day 2: Cleanse AM/PM with Gentle Cleanser. Finish with blue Serum. May reapply blue Hydrating Serum throughout the day as needed if skin feels tight, dry, itchy. MUST apply sunscreen if you will be outside.
  3. Day3: Continue Day 2 regimen.
  4. Day 5: Start using Exfoliating Cleanser to help exfoliate any existing flaking
  5. Day 7: May add Retinoids back into regimen.
  6. Continue your recommended Skincare regimen in between treatments for best results!

***We do not recommend using any over-the-counter skin care products outside of our protocol. These products are medical grade and tested by Crown Aesthetics + Wellness to ensure best procedure outcomes!
